Commercial Closet: Macy's Shows 'Marriage' to Gays
By Michael Wilke
Just weeks after the California Supreme Court said 'I do' to same-sex marriage, Macy's West division ran full page newspaper ads in San Francisco and Los Angeles geared to gay couples. Although Macy's is the biggest retailer to create same-sex marriage ads and use store windows to celebrate Pride, it isn't the first.

Power in Numbers - The Gay Vote
By Sara Whitman
Two of the most taken for granted votes in the Democratic Party are African-Americans and LGBT folks. I mean, who are we going to vote for? John McCain? Please. The reality, though, is that aside from some lip service along the line that our rights and needs will be addressed, the candidates know they are going to get our vote and drop our issues like a hot potato.

Big Gay Deal: Behold the Age of Fun-derwear
By Duane Wells
Israeli-born former celebrity hair stylist Nir Zilberman came to America in 1981 dreaming of carving a new life for himself. So far, so good. As the proprietor of Just One L.A., Los Angeles' first retail outpost devoted exclusively to men's underwear and swimwear, Nir is hoping to do for men and their undergarments what Victoria's Secret did for women and theirs.

A Series of Unstoppable Events: The Fight for Gay Marriage Begins Again
By Sara Whitman
Not only is there marriage equality in Massachusetts but by June 17th, there will be marriage equality in California. And if you’re married in either of those two states? Gov. David Patterson of New York says, 'You will be acknowledged and welcome here.' And now... the real fight begins.

California Gay Marriage: Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Right?
Op-Ed
By David Salter
It has been two weeks since the California Supreme Court ruled in favor of marriage. And despite a number of Chicken Littles channeling their anxiety through press releases and editorials, the sky is not falling... yet. But I should point out the sheer idiocy of those who would vote for John McCain out of spite should their preferred nominee not prevail in Denver. Cue sky... falling fast.

Who's Got the Fuzzier Math? Clinton or Obama?
By Duane Wells
Sen. Hillary Clinton argues that wins in democratic strongholds and support from core party constituencies give her a stronger electoral advantage over John McCain in November's. Conversely Barack Obama believes that he and his supporters can potentially deliver states for the democrats that have eluded the party for years, which will add up to a democratic win. So whose math is fuzzier?

Wedding Bell Blues: How Will Gay Marriage Effect the Election?
Op-Ed
By Libby Post
There was an earthquake in California yesterday. No homes—straight or LGBT—were destroyed. Barriers to inequality, however, were demolished when the Golden State’s Supreme Court struck down the state’s law banning same-sex marriage. I just wish the decision could have come out after Election Day. My concern is the impact this decision will have on the presidential race.

Hypocrites of the Week: Uncommitted Dem. Superdelegates
By Duane Wells
Among the big headlines of the week, calls for Sen. Hillary Clinton to exit the race for the democratic presidential nomination are most prominent. But instead of all the chatter about what it might take to get Hillary Clinton out of the race, more attention should be focused on why the remaining uncommitted democratic superdelegates have made it possible for Clinton to keep her campaign alive.

Note to Hillary Clinton: The Singing Fat Lady is in the Wings
Op-Ed
By Christopher Lisotta
If you believe in media narratives (sometimes a very dangerous thing to do) Sen. Hillary Clinton’s quest for the White House has come to an end. But just hours after narrowly winning in Indiana and getting clocked in North Carolina, Clinton apparently chose to ignore the math and headed to West Virginia. A Democratic Party divided, 'The person best able to unify the party is Senator Clinton.'
